These blends are sometimes referred to as "OTC" or "Drugstore Blends" because of their once ubiquitous availability. Many such as myself affectionately call them "Codger Blends," a term which conjures memories of days gone by, when many a grandfather smoked his favorite among these offerings for decades. It's a different time now, and there are a myriad of options to choose from. Still, I have a nostalgic fondness for these old pouch tobaccos, which have been a part of the American pipe smoking landscape for generations.
