Savinelli recently introduced the Gods Series of pipe tobacco, which I'm now able to present to my Pipe Nook customers! These are 3 surprisingly nuanced and intriguing blends that definitely deserve your attention, and possibly a permanent space in your tobacco rotation!
First, Janus unites bright Virginia leaf with vintage Orientals from Turkey and Greece, and a bit of Perique, for a cool, smooth and elegant smoke. Next, Juno presents a base of stoved Red Virginia combined with bright Virginia, which is stoved yet again before adding a dash of fresh, straight red Virginia. The result is a delectably sweet mixture to satisfy the most experienced Virginia lover! And finally, Jupiter mixes white and dark Burleys with red and bright Virginias and a touch of spicy, dark-fired Kentucky, along with a delicate topping of dark rum and molasses for a sweet, nutty, and complex flavor profile.
These 3 new blends went right to the top of the charts in Savinelli's tobacco offerings for me personally. I can't recommend them highly enough...they're not to be missed!
In addition, this week I introduced the shape that my friend Vinnie calls a "Saxophone Pipe," the Savinelli 614, and Rossi 8614 shapes! These Oom Paul shapes were glaringly absent here at The Pipe Nook, and they are now available in the Savinelli Roma and Trevi Lines, as well as the Rossi Vittoria series, with more to come in the days ahead!
I've added so many other items this week that I'll just have to provide them in the following list:
And to top it off, I received a large stock update of the ever-popular Savinelli Series III 9mm pipes, with more than 100 new pipes now in stock in various shapes!
Things are rockin' and rollin' at The Pipe Nook this summer...stay tuned for more exciting new additions in the coming weeks. And as always, thanks so much for your business!

Go Big and Stay Home with a Tub of Your Favorite Codger Blend! Also, Mac Baren's HH Blends Now Available in the Larger 3.5 oz. Tins!
Like many of you, I'm spending a LOT more time at home these days. Much more time to be alone with my thoughts also allows for more time to smoke. Many of you have asked, and I've been listening. So now, The Pipe Nook carries not only 1.5 oz. pouches of my favorite Codger blends, but also the larger 12 to 14 oz. cans! For those who have a favorite "drug store blend," this is a great, economical way to stock up for those additional times of quiet reflection.
In addition, I've begun carrying the larger 3.5 oz. versions of three Mac Baren HH blends: Burley Flake, Old Dark Fired, and Pure Virginia. Don't worry, larger tins of the other HH blends will be coming soon!
Keep 'em lit,
This week, I'm pleased to introduce a new pipe tobacco from Mac Baren, and a new line of pipes from Rossi! This is definitely a study in contrasts, hence the clever title to this post. Well, I thought it was kinda clever. :)
First up, Rossi Piccolo pipes: The first petite series from Rossi, the Piccolo series adds six popular Savinelli shapes to the Rossi line, but for the first time scaling these shapes to elegant, pocket-pipe proportions. These unfiltered pipes are finished much like the Vittoria series in a dark, classic rustication and fitted with jet-black vulcanite stems! A Piccolo pipe is ideal for anyone searching for a traditional pipe that can be comfortably stowed in a pocket while on the go!
Next, I'm happy (and a bit trepidatious) to introduce Mac Baren's HH Rustica tobacco! If you thought Bold Kentucky was strong...beware! Mac Baren's HH Rustica marks a first in the modern pipe tobacco industry. Blending Virginias and Burleys from the commonly used Nicotiana Tabacum with that of the rarely used Nicotiana Rustica, this blend provides an incredibly bold and one of a kind smoke! Hot-pressed and cut into flakes, this high-nicotine blend is not for the faint of heart! But it might be right up your alley if you like distinctive flavors such as peaty Scotches, strong black coffee, sharp cheeses, or strong cigars. This is a Limited Edition offering of only 7,100 numbered 3.5 oz. tins, and when they're gone, that's all folks!
Keep 'em lit,
Well, this is a first for me: I was able to obtain and make available a Cornell & Diehl small batch offering on the official street date! Celebrate with me by being one of the first to obtain a tin or two (or three, or four...) of this excellent blend!
Merging the Old World with the New, Sansepolcro is a very special entry into the Small Batch project — carefully blended from unique, Italian dark-fired leaf and some of the finest red Virginias from North Carolina. Aromatically spicy with earthy, clove-like undertones, this Italian dark-fired leaf is grown in the Sansepolcro region of Italy, which boasts a history and tradition of tobacco cultivation to the 17th century. Combined with mellow citrus and bread-like notes of the reds, it makes for a wonderful melange of flavors and aromas — at once both familiar and exotic.
This Small Batch offering was first released in 2016, but proved to be so popular that it has since been released annually. However, that's no guarantee that it will be available next year. This 2020 Edition is limited to 8,000 numbered tins. They won't last long, so come grab 'em while they're still around!
Keep 'em lit,
