Denmark's own Peder Jeppesen began his pipe making career in 1977 when he went to work for the legendary Karl Erik. Later, he went on to work for none other than Erik Nording. While working a combined 18 years for those two giants of the industry, Peder honed his skills as a pipe maker. After some time away, in 2002 Peder opened his own pipe making workshop and began making pipes of his own creation under the name Neerup (an old family name). Now with more than 30 years of pipe making experience, Peder is making incredible pipes at an astounding value when compared to other similar pipes in the marketplace. Of course, many Neerup owners would say there is no comparison to a Neerup pipe! Peder's pipes are known for being well engineered and beautifully crafted examples of Danish design, but with a distinctive style all his own. Neerup pipes are excellent smokers and beautiful works of art that are still affordable to most working-class pipe smokers--something very rare indeed from a Danish pipe maker.
